Peer Review Process

ABDI SAMULANG Journal of Community Service applies the following review process policy:

  1. Reviewers receive double-blind review manuscripts from the section editor through this journal's website (OJS) or via email.
  2. The effective time limit for manuscript review is 4 weeks from the time the manuscript is received by the reviewer. If the time is deemed insufficient, the reviewer must confirm the section editor accompanied by clear reasons. The time for the extension of the manuscript review is 10 days after notification, it is hoped that the reviewer can work on time.
  3. The reviewer provides an objective and clear assessment of the manuscript, either by providing comments/notes directly in the body of the manuscript or through the Manuscript Review Checklist Form. If you find it difficult, the reviewer can ask the section editor to send a review checklist form in Ms.Word format via email.
  4. The reviewer provides recommendations on the results of the review of the manuscript as a basis for making decisions by the editor / section editor which is submitted to the author. Recommendations from the review of the manuscript include: Accept Submission (manuscripts are accepted); Revisions Required (manuscripts are accepted on condition that they must be revised by the author and returned to the reviewer); Resubmit for Review (manuscripts need to be reviewed by other reviewers); Resubmit Elsewhere (manuscripts should be sent to other journal publishers); Decline Submission (manuscript rejected); See Comments (see comments).
  5. The reviewer submits the results of the review of the manuscript to the editor. Communication between the reviewer and the author cannot be done directly and vice versa. For this reason, every revision of the manuscript must go through the section editor.
